There are two words to describe the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta – inclusive and fun! This organization of diverse women includes members from 63 different colleges. With that many colleges represented, the other side of the equation is the wonderful age range of our active members. The Young Alums are an involved and engaging group! (Of course, they are on Facebook!) The other end of the opportunity spectrum is the Diamond Pansies. This fun group of 50+ (and over) Thetas meets for lunch once a month to visit and keep in touch with Theta friendships. For everyone from Young Alums to the Diamond Pansies and in between, there are a wide variety of social activities, including the annual Fall Dinner, Founders Day, Ornament Exchange and the Christmas Coffee, to name a few. In addition, different CASA fundraisers are a way to stay involved with our philanthropy. Our group also strives to maintain an advisory and a social role with the Actives at Emory University. We share a number of alumnae-collegian events each year.
The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter truly practices and embraces, “Theta for a Lifetime.” Whatever phase of life that you are in right now – there is a place for you – sister, volunteer, participant, board member or just friend!
